The Colorado Springs Gazette App Reviews

A new major flaw each edition

The current annoying bug is when I tap on stories it takes me back to the top of the homepage. Paying for digital news on a crappy app? Nope.

Tough way to keep from killing trees

This version of the app has a number of whistles and bells that the previous versions didnt have, unfortunately I dont use any of them. Credit to the folks who wrote the code, since I complained about a problem with the menu structure they eliminated the duplicate menu. I still wish my home page would have the option of going straight to the E-edition instead of someone picking the articles I see. I really hate killing trees to read the only local news but I continue to be underwhelmed with the app version after version.

If I could give the app zero, I would

Horrible app. Rarely loads when you use it.

Paywall and advertising

App has a paywall as well as advertising

Decent app, can be very buggy

I like this app and use it for staying informed on local news. It gets real bugged out occasionally, freezes, gives me 78 notifications, but overall its fine. Id love to see an option to select frequency of notifications.

Missing important feature

This app works fine as a reader and notifier of news events. However, it does not have a bookmark or sharing feature which my browser does have. I have go and look at the article in my browser if I want copy text or share the article with any easily

Inconsistent Operations

The app drops out at random points causing a need to restart.

Serviceable

Good for local news, weather, and traffic. Crashes way too much.

Love the read it later feature

The feature makes it easy to read the top local news.

News

News is good

Horrible. Crashes all the time

Wont stay up long enough to watch even 1 video clip of a story.

Great stories

I read the Gazette app daily and enjoy all the Features. Just wish the comics were included. Keep doing the great work.

Much better in other parts of US

Though improved, this site is still very average. Too much effort being poured into video content when it should be in the text area. If I want video I go to the local news stations but this should be more like a newspaper.

Has potential if editors would read comments

Though the design is awkward, the content is good. Regarding comment from "moved backwards", he is correct. The editors just want to please the vocal right, and they only hear what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. My messages throughout the years have historically gone unanswered. After downloading the app, in just five minutes the message stated I have reached my four articles for the month, and I needed to register. Why, there are enough advertisements, arent they just needy and greedy? Again, great news, updated much more frequently than news from other local news apps.

Colorado Springs Gazette

Very informative, timely and easy to access

Latest local news

Complete insight into local news, current and succinct. Love it

Good access to local news.

The Gazette app allows me to check on "new" news and keep up with ongoing stories. Works great for me.

Terrible

1. I bought a subscription but it keeps forgetting me and Im sick of re-entering my info. 2. There is no simple way to copy a link to an article in order to share it with others in a message, on Facebook or what have you. If I want to share a link to an article, I have to let the Gazette have access to my Facebook info. Uh, no and no!!!

Awful user experience

In addition to having to re-enter my email and password often, it doesnt even have a time display feature. They should be looking for user feedback.

Moved backwards

Gazette has gone backwards requiring log in for access. Despite having a subscription, its now the last news source I turn to because its too cumbersome. Ready to uninstall and get rid of it all together. I sent message to manager but he didnt care. Use of alerts is so overdone it makes the function useless.
